"On one particular night I was sobbing in bed as I was listening to my kids laughing downstairs playing their video game and being silly with each other. I couldn't help but crack a small smile to myself at some of the funny things they were saying. "They both have my goofy sense of humor," I thought. Any normal parent would instantly be filled with joy at the sound of their children's laugher. Happy kids should most definitely drive away any negative thoughts right? Wrong. It confirmed they would be better off without me. That's how sick depression is."
